New Jersey is not particularly known for good shopping experiences. But nonetheless, something is literally rising from upon the once barren meadows: a gigantic structural complex called Xanadu.

Now, Xanadu is not a space center, nor is it a landing space for aliens. No, it’s actually a new mall that they’re planning to use to attract shoppers from nearby cities and states. Will it work?

We honestly don’t know whether this is the best time to build an edifice that’s committed to spending, with the recession and all, but we have been told that this thing can be seen from space. That’s how big it is.
