Newspapers in US in big trouble

picture16With the advent of the Internet and other means of getting news, actual newsprints are feeling the adverse effects of our newfound independence on the electronic media. Not only are we getting the news straight from the sources, sometimes in increments of a few hours, but we’re no longer buying newspapers on a daily basis.

In the US, ten old newspapers are in danger of falling completely off the grid- this includes the San Francisco Chronicle and other old newsprints. Is there hope for these prints? Based on the new demand for Kindle and cheap laptop computers, the answer seems to be a negative.
